Listen and follow

The idea you needed was on page forty, in a chapter you heard on the train. You marked it without stopping. Tonight it is waiting where you left it.

A plan that survives a busy week is usually a short one. Name the one decision this chapter could inform, and write it beside the passage. The rest can wait for the next quiet hour.

What needs another step

  • Save an old Word DOC as DOCX.
  • Unlock a password-protected PDF.
  • Use a text-based copy when a PDF is only scanned images. Scanned PDFs are not readable until OCR is available.
  • Download a private Google Doc as DOCX or paste its text. iOutloud does not connect to your Drive account.
Questions

Before you start

Can I read and listen on both web and iPhone?

Yes. Sign in to the same account to access your library and saved reading place. Download audio on iPhone before listening offline.

What can I add?

EPUB, UTF-8 TXT, DOCX, text-based PDF, accessible Google Docs links, and pasted text. Supported files lists the size and format limits.

Will it read a scanned PDF?

Not yet. A PDF needs selectable text. If it is made only of images, use a text-based copy or another supported format.

Can I connect a private Google Drive account?

Not yet. An accessible Google Docs link can be imported as a copy. For a private document, download it as DOCX or paste the text.

Can I keep and export notes?

Yes. Bookmark, highlight, and add notes in the reader. On the web, download saved material as PDF, plain text, or Markdown.

Is iOutloud a newsletter writing tool?

No. It helps you read source material and keep notes. You write and publish a newsletter in your usual tool.

What does it cost?

iOutloud is currently in private testing with invited readers. Paid plans have not launched.
